Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Acceptance

By creating an account or using MonCron you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and HwangLabs (registration number 475-13-01727) ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of MonCron.

Service description

MonCron is a cron-job monitoring and alerting service. You register scheduled jobs through our dashboard or API, push run telemetry and log lines from your own infrastructure to our endpoints, and receive notifications when your jobs fail, run late, or never start. The features, quotas, and retention periods available to you depend on the subscription plan you have selected, as described on moncron.com/pricing.

We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that reduce existing functionality on paid plans.

Account

You must be at least 16 years old to register. You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of the information you provide;
  • keeping your password and API keys confidential;
  • everything that happens under your account, whether or not you authorised it.

API keys are shown to you exactly once at creation and cannot be recovered afterwards. If a key is lost or compromised, revoke it from settings and issue a new one. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use MonCron to violate any law or regulation, or to infringe anyone else's rights;
  • transmit malware, phishing content, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or sexually exploitative;
  • interfere with the Service, circumvent rate limits or plan quotas, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise probe the Service except where such restrictions are prohibited by law;
  • resell or rebrand MonCron as your own service without our prior written agreement;
  • push personal data of third parties through the log channel without a lawful basis and the necessary consents.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

Subscription and billing

MonCron offers a Free tier and paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business). Plan features and prices are described on moncron.com/pricing and may change with at least 14 days' notice to existing subscribers, communicated by email.

Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy (LS GmbH, a Merchant of Record). Lemon Squeezy issues your invoices, handles taxes, and processes payments. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms.

Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

Taxes. Prices displayed may not include applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax. Lemon Squeezy will add the correct tax at checkout based on your billing country.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Read it before purchasing.

Subscription cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing. Upon cancellation:

  • Your account reverts to the Free plan at the end of your billing period.
  • You retain access to your projects, jobs, and logs within Free plan limits.
  • No partial refunds are issued for the unused portion of the billing period (see the Refund Policy for exceptions).

If you were granted a complimentary plan by an admin, cancellation takes effect immediately with no billing implications.

Account termination and data deletion

You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. When you confirm deletion:

  • Deletion is immediate and irreversible: projects, jobs, executions, logs, API keys, preferences, and subscription history are removed in the same request, and you are signed out.
  • A confirmation email is sent to your registered email address.
  • An audit record (email, time of deletion) is retained to satisfy legal and abuse-prevention obligations. No project, job, execution, or log data is part of this record.
  • Once deletion is processed, your data cannot be recovered. There is no grace period.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Where practical, we will provide advance notice and, where appropriate, allow data export before termination.

Service levels and availability

MonCron is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not commit to a specific uptime, latency, or alert-delivery SLA unless agreed in writing. You acknowledge that:

  • alerts and notifications can be delayed or lost due to factors outside our control (e.g. email-provider outages, network failures, push-notification queues);
  • log data is not a backup system — keep authoritative copies of anything critical on your own infrastructure;
  • maintenance, upgrades, and incidents may cause temporary unavailability.

Your data

You retain ownership of the data you upload (project configurations, job metadata, execution records, log lines). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and display that data solely to operate the Service for you. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The MonCron software, brand, design, documentation, and APIs are owned by us. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use MonCron as intended. Nothing in these Terms transfers any other intellectual-property rights to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • MonCron is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.
  • Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 100.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data, missed alerts, or business interruption — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, your use of MonCron, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting your rights will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
